Liptrot wins again!

Congratulations to Mark Liptrot, who won the Porters Wood Golf Course Spring League.

With four players in with a chance going into the final week, John Hoystead produced a cracking 20 pointer to post a 149 total for the rest to chase.

The top 3 in the league went out together on the sunday, and after a superb display of putting, Mark with a handicap of 9 and recent winner of the Porters Wood Winter league, posted a fantastic final round of 21 points to scoop first prize. He finished with a total of 152 points for his best 8 rounds.

Joining John Hoystead in second with a total of 149 points, was Martin Ishmael, who scored 19 points on the day. Martin also won the closest pin competition on the 7th hole.

Narrowly pushed into fourth place was Phil Kearsley, on a total of 148 points, whilst scratch player Andy Teasey finished fifth with a total of 144 points.

Thankyou to everyone who participated in the spring league, and let me remind you that registration for the summer league is now open!
