Situated on the outskirts of Wigan, Lancashire, Porters Wood 9-hole golf course is set in natural, undulating parkland between the villages of Shevington and Orrell. We are one of the North West’s leading par 3 golf courses and are within easy commuting distance of both Manchester and Merseyside.

Built using the finest materials, this challenging golf course offers immaculate USGA modified greens, sand/soil based tees and wide well presented fairways, all seeded with the highest specification grass seed on the market.

The course measures 1,445 yards and consists of 7 par 3’s and 2 par 4’s. Every one of the 9 holes offers a unique challenge, with danger lurking at every turn. Whether it be Ackhurst Brook which runs through the heart of the course, the ancient woodland of Porters Wood, the steep valleys, ponds, bunkers, banks of gorse, or a mixture of young and mature vegetation, golfers of every ability are sure to be tested.
